NCSL International Strategic Roadmap for Metrology Education and Training

In response to the alarming decrease in young folks entering the Metrology field, NCSL International developed a strategic roadmap for planning, organizing and developing resources and activities in the U.S. to help reverse this trend. This effort is spearheaded by Georgia L. Harris, NCSLI Vice President for Learning & Development who is rallying all stakeholders in the world of measurement to get involve and express their opinions and suggestions regarding the roadmap (many organizations throughout the U.S. have helped in it's development).

NIST's Policy on Traceability

NIST has recently developed an organizational policy on traceability and a set of related supplementary materials, which includes answers to questions frequently asked by customers of NIST measurement services. The policy and supplementary materials are intended to serve as a resource for NIST customers.

US Measurements Requirements Survey

The NCSL International United States National Measurement Requirements Committee (US-NMRC) is asking for your support in preparing the next US-NMRC report. This report assesses Government and Industry short-term and long-term measurement requirements. The information we are looking for falls into three broad categories. First, we are looking for unmet test and measurement requirements that limit the design, manufacture, test or evaluation of new products. Second, we are looking for present or projected calibration laboratory support requirements for new test and measurement equipment, standards or systems. Third, we want to identify any new or expanded requirements for present or future calibration services from NIST. This information is very important in helping our country develop and continue to sustain its lead in tomorrow's high technology environment and global market place.

We would like to thank you in advance for your participation in this survey.
