New Product/Service Announcement

All current NCSLI Member Organizations may use the "New Product/Service Announcement" publication feature in the NCSLI measure to announce the introduction of a new product or new service that is of interest to the NCSLI membership.

The New Product/Service feature will be limited to four (4) pages per issue, which should accommodate up to 16 to 20 product or service announcements per issue. If more submissions are received than space is available, the Product/Service submissions selected for publication will be at the discretion of the NCSLI Editor. In addition, the NCSLI Operations VP and Marketing VP will have final say over the appropriateness of each submission.

For a submission to qualify for inclusion in the New Product/Service feature, the submission must meet the following two requirements:

1. It must be directly related to measurement, calibration, and/or metrology.
2. Either it must have been introduced to the marketplace within the past nine months, or it will be introduced to the marketplace within the next three months, both as measured from the date of submission.

Announcements should meet the following size limitations and layout format:

1. Combination of photo and text will not exceed 20% of a published page.
2. The text should be limited to a maximum of 125 words. NCSLI may reduce text if necessary to meet space requirements. The text should be primarily technical information relative to the product or service itself and cannot contain any comparison to competitive products.
3. Any published photo will not exceed four (4) square inches of space. • Included photographic images (TIFFs) should have resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch). Lower resolution images, such as 72-dpi jpgs from some digital cameras, are too coarse and will not print clearly. Included color TIFFs should be saved in CMYK mode (necessary for 4-color printing).
4. NCSLI will determine overall page layout format (1, 2, or 3 column) and text font size.
5. Company logos will not be displayed except as they appear on the product or service.

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION: Electronic submission of compressed files is also acceptable, if compressed file is under 5 MB. .SIT and .ZIP compression both OK. Soft copy (PDF) proof required for electronic submission along with graphic files.
